Day
01: Shanghai
Arrival at Shanghai. Transfer to New Asia Hotel or similar hotel
on arrival. Day
02: Shanghai
Day tour to Old City and the Yu Garden, which was built in the
Ming and Qing styles and is the most famous classical garden
in Shanghai. Also visit the Bund, located along the banks of
the Huangpu River, the picturesque Bund is the symbol of Shanghai.
During the afternoon Leisure time is given to explore Shanghai's
stylish downtown. (B/L) Day
03: Shanghai - Suzhou
Board train (approximately 45 minutes) with first class soft
seats to Suzhou in the morning and transfer to Nanyuan Hotel
or similar hotel upon arrival. Visit The Master of Net Garden
renowned for its great beauty, tranquility and elegance. (B/L)

04: Suzhou - Xi'an
Spend the day at leisure to discover Suzhou, renowned for its
scenic beauty for many years and also noted as one of China's
most ancient cities. Board an overnight train (approximately
15 hours) to Xi'an with soft sleeping - bed. (B) OPTIONAL:Visit
the Embroidery Research Institute - the organization for the
study of needling techniques and also uncover Tiger Hill. This
26 meter high Slanting Pagoda is the symbol of ancient Suzhou
City. Also visit the Grand Canal. (B/L) $98

05: Xi'an
Arrive in Xi'an early morning. Transfer to the Orient Hotel
or similar hotel on arrival. Visit Terracotta Warriors and Horses
where more than 7,000 life sized terracotta warriors and horses
have been unearthed near the Tomb of Emperor Qin Shihuang. Encounter
the Banpo Museum filled with artifacts from approximately 6,000
years ago, from a matriarchal commune of the Yellow River region.

06: Xi'an - Beijing
Leisure time to explore Xi'an's many historical sites. Known
as the city of "Everlasting Peace" Xi'an is one of
the most important cradles of Chinese civilization and marks
the start of the famous "Silk Road." Board overnight
train to (approximately 15 hours) to Beijing with soft sleeping
- bed. (B) OPTIONAL:Tour
to the City Wall, China's only well preserved large-scale city
wall surrounded by moats. Visit the Big Wild-Goose Pagoda, which
was first built in the Tang Dynasty; it is the symbol of Xi'an.

07: Beijing
In the morning arrival in Beijing, which
with meaning of Northern Capital, has always been capital of
the nation except for the brief period during the civil war
in the first half of this century, when Chiang Kai-Shek moved
his government to Nanjing. It has been the centre of power under
the Mongols, the Ming, the Manchu and now the Republic of China
for a period spanning almost seven hundred years, and
then transfer to Harmony
Hotel or similar on arrival. Discover the Summer Palace, the
grand imperial palace and royal garden of the Qing Dynasty.
The Summer Palace is home to tens of thousands of valuable cultural
relics. Also visit the Forbidden City. Built between 1406 and
1420, it served as the imperial palace for the Ming and Qing
dynasties. (B/L) Day 08: Beijing
Day tour to Great Wall and Ming Tombs. Both of these tourist
attractions represent cultural and traditional works from China's
earlier days. The Great Wall being China's most famous attraction
and the Ming Tombs which are a group of mausoleums of thirteen
Ming emperors. For dinner indulge in one of Beijing's most traditional
cuisines - Peking Duck. (B/L/D) Day
09: Beijing
Discover China's capital at leisure. A fascinating mixture of
the old and new, Beijing has been in existence for more than
3,000 years and offers the avid adventurer many spots of interest.

the Temple of Heaven to partake in morning,
the
largest temple complex in China, where emperors of the Ming
and Qing would pray to Heaven for good harvests, and
Ti'an men Square, located in the center of Beijing and noted
as the largest city square in the world. Also visit the magical
