Shanghai - Luoyang - Beijing
Discover ancient China, whilst traveling through these three wonders. From Shanghai to Luoyang to Beijing visit some of traditional China's most amazing tourist hot spots.

Day 01: Shanghai
Arrive in Shanghai and then transfer to New Asia Hotel or similar hotel on arrival. Shanghai is world known as China's largest modern city, which boasts a long enriching history.
Day 02: Shanghai
Day tour around Shanghai. Visit the Jade Buddha Temple / Monastery famous for housing two jade statues of Sakyamuni. One in a sitting position, the other in a reclining position. Both are considered as treasures of Buddhism in China. Also visit the Yu Garden, a two-hectare skillfully landscaped garden comprising, winding paths through charming pavilions, delightful grottoes, magnificent lotus ponds quaint bridges and trickling streams. Day 03: Shanghai
Spend the day at leisure to discover Shanghai, which, contains the most striking blend of past and present, oriental and western cultures in China. Overnight journey to Luoyang by train (approximately 15 hours) with soft sleeping - bed. (B)
OPTIONAL: Tour of Shanghai's ancient Old City and the Bund to experience modern Shanghai. (B/L) $98 p/p.
Day 04: Luoyang
Arrive in Luoyang and transfer to the Luoyang Friendship Guest House or similar hotel. Known as capital of Nine Dynasties, Luoyang takes pride in being a cradle of an ancient culture. Visit the Longmen Grottoes rated as one of three greatest repositories of rock grotto art in China. Stopping off at the Guyang Cave and the Cave of ten-thousand Buddha Los ana, to see numerous carvings of Buddha statues ranging in size from one inch to 57 feet. (B/L)
Day 05: Shaolin Temple
Day tour to the Shaolin Temple - Nestled at the foot of the Wuru Peak on the northern side of the Shaoshi Mountains. Shaolin Temple is not only famous for being one of China's important Buddhist Shrines, but also as the ancient center of Chinese martial art - kung - fu. (B/L)
Day 06: Luoyang - Beijing
Spend your day at leisure to Discover the ancient and historical Luoyang. Board train in afternoon, for an overnight journey to Beijing by train (approximately 8 hours) with soft sleeping - bed. (B)
Day 07: Beijing
Arrive in Beijing early morning. Beijing meaning, Northern Capital, has always been capital of the nation except for the brief period during the civil war in the first half of this century, when Chiang Kai-Shek moved his government to Nanjing. It has been the centre of power under the Mongols, the Ming, the Manchu and now the Republic of China for a period spanning almost seven hundred years. Transfer to the Harmony Hotel or similar hotel upon arrival. Visit Summer Palace, an outstanding example of imperial gardens in classical Chinese style, it spreads over an area off 2.9 million square meters, three fourths of which are water surfaces. The garden comprises countless pavilions in diversified, exotic designs, which are all strung together by an extended corridor. Also visit the Forbidden City Beijing's grandest integral Palace complex. Used as the imperial palace of the Ming and the Qing dynasties, its architectural layout was designed to bring out the ultimate authority of the emperor (B/L)
Day 08: Beijing
Day tour to the Great Wall, one of the worlds's well known tourist attractions. Starting from Shanhaiguan in the east and ending at Jiayuguan in the west it extends for approximately 6700 kilometers in length. The Ming Tombs will also be visited today, this is where a group of mausoleums of thirteen Ming emperors, are located at the southern slopes of the Jundu Mountains on the Northern outskirts of Beijing. Peking Duck, one of Beijing's most famous cuisines will be tonight's dinner. (B/L/D)
Day 09: Beijing
Leisure time to discover China's capital. You may choose to potter through the many shops or visit some of the numerous tourist spots of interest. (B)
OPTIONAL: Explore the Temple of Heaven to partake in morning, the largest temple complex in China, where emperors of the Ming and Qing would pray to Heaven for good harvests, and Ti'an men Square, located in the center of Beijing and noted as the largest city square in the world. Also visit the magical Beihai Park and Coal Hill. (B/L) $138 p/p
Day 10: Beijing

Leaving Beijing (transfer to airport or train station).(B)
